Started in a rented garage in Carle Place.
In 2008, Frank was sweeping chimneys for his uncle’s heating company. He noticed how often homeowners were sold unnecessary liner replacements — parts that cost thousands and didn’t need replacing. He finished his CSIA certification in 2008, and a year later Long Island Chimney Co. was a one-man shop in a borrowed garage with a pickup truck.
The first job was a sweep in Hicksville. The homeowner had been quoted $3,400 for a new liner she didn’t need. Frank swept it, showed her the camera footage, and charged her $175. She told four neighbors.
17years later, we’re still family-run. Rosa handles the office. Paul, a 25-year master mason, does our tuckpointing and liner work. Chris is our CSIA-certified sweep you’ll see on your roof. Three vans, six-person crew, covers all of Nassau and Suffolk.
What hasn’t changed: if your chimney doesn’t need the work, we’ll tell you. Our reputation is built on jobs we didn’t do.
