Terms of Service

Last updated: April 10, 2026

Agreement

By using this website or engaging Long Island Chimney Co., LLC (“we,” “us”) for chimney services, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site or our services.

Estimates

On-site estimates are free with no obligation. Written estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise noted. Estimate pricing is binding for the specific scope described; additional scope discovered during work is re-priced and re-approved before proceeding.

Work authorization

We begin work only after you sign a written estimate. Signing may be in person, by email reply, or via electronic signature platform. A signed estimate constitutes a contract.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of work unless financing is pre-arranged. We accept credit cards, ACH, and checks. Invoices older than 30 days accrue 1.5% monthly interest.

Warranties

Our standard warranties:

  • Chimney sweeps: 30-day satisfaction guarantee
  • Stainless liner installations: manufacturer lifetime parts, 5 years our labor
  • Crown rebuilds: 10 years
  • Tuckpointing: 5 years
  • Chimney cap installations: lifetime parts (stainless), 1 year labor
  • Waterproofing: 10 years

Warranties cover defective workmanship and material failure. Warranties do not cover damage from storm events, chimney fires, misuse, or damage caused by other trades.

Limitation of liability

Our liability for any claim is limited to the cost of the work performed. We maintain $2M general liability insurance and workers compensation. Certificates available on request.

Cancellation

You may cancel a scheduled appointment with 24 hours notice for no charge. Less than 24 hours: a $95 trip fee applies if we’ve dispatched. Once work has started on an authorized job, cancellation is possible but you’ll be billed for work completed and materials ordered.

Disputes

We prefer to resolve disputes directly. If we can’t, the claim will be resolved in Nassau County, New York, under New York law. You retain your right to file complaints with the Nassau or Suffolk County Department of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau.

Changes

We may update these terms. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
