Frank Mazella
Frank grew up in Carle Place, two blocks from the shop he now runs. His first job in the trade was at 19, sweeping chimneys for his uncle's heating company on weekends and learning how an oil-burning flue differs from a wood-burning one.
He earned his CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) certification in 2008. In 2009, with forty referred customers and a used van, he opened Long Island Chimney Co. The first year he ran the business out of a rented garage and answered every phone call himself.
Today Frank focuses on inspections and estimates — he's still the one on the roof for any job he quotes. He's run over 4,000 chimney inspections across Nassau and Suffolk and holds active certifications in CSIA, NFI Gas Specialist, and NFPA 211 compliance.
He's most proud of the fact that Long Island Chimney Co. has never had a BBB complaint in seventeen years of business. Ask him about a specific chimney problem and he'll usually pull his phone out and show you a photo of one he fixed last month.
